Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SSCP) Knowledge-Action Network (KAN) is a global network of researchers and practioners interested in how systems of sustainable consumption and production can contribute to a more sustainable world. SSCP KAN works to advance a more systemic approach to SCP, and to encourage and enable an urgent transformation in theory and practice to SCP systems.

SSCP KAN is made up of people from many different backgrounds and experience: academics, practitioners from the public and private sectors, government representatives, artists, and interested citizens from around the world.
There are many ways to get involved in the SSCP KAN.
Individual affiliation
- Sing up for the SSCP KAN mailing list where we announce events, new initiatives, and share news with each other.
- Join the Future Earth Open Network SSCP KAN Community.
- Join one of our six Working Groups for a more immediate and lively discussion. If you’re interested in joining a WG, please contact the co-chairs of the WG that suits you best.
Organizational affiliation
If you are a part of an organization (business, municipal body, NPO, research project, etc.) and would like your organization to be affiliated with the Future Earth SSCP KAN, please contact us at sscp_kan@futureearth.org with an email that explains:
- the history/description of your organization and its goals
- how your organization furthers the goals of the Future Earth SSCP KAN
- what your organization can offer the network in terms of participation, ideas, support, etc.
